Our Mission

Good Deed Friday was created by the West Metro Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors to recognize the needs of local charities and assist them in tough economic times during the year, instead of the popular December holiday season. To create a fun and unique event that others will hopefully duplicate throughout our great nation.

Please put Good Deed Friday (Friday, April 22nd) on your community calendar and help us promote this unique event.

Our Story

Since times are tough, we wanted to encourage people to donate without giving money, hence "Spring Cleaning for Charities".This event can help people get rid of "clutter" by giving those items to people in need. Since it's natural to give during a holiday, why not Easter? Thus, Good Deed Friday was born!

Many Midland businesses have volunteered to be drop off locations before Good Friday. Free food & drinks will be available all day for those who bring by a donation with special events going on location during the day (document shredding, glass repair, Easter pictures, etc.)

What Is
Good Deed Friday?

Good Deed Friday: Spring Cleaning for Charity was created by The Ambassadors of The West Metro Chamber of Commerce . Christmas has been the traditional time that most people think about donating to charities. The Ambassadors wanted to help local charities at a different time of the year since their needs are all year long.

Since times are tough, they wanted to encourage people to donate without giving money, hence "Spring Cleaning for Charities". This event will help people to take their "unneeded treasures" and give to the local charities listed on this site. Since it's natural to give during a holiday, why not Easter? Thus, Good Deed Friday was born!
